Today’s travellers are dependent on technology. Research shows that internet usage is pervasive, with eight in 10 people now going online regularly and visitors to Newfoundland and Labrador are no different. Travellers seek connectivity, through the internet, to communicate with family, friends, to find information and make travel arrangements.
To enhance visitor services, the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador aims to improve awareness of public Wi-Fi locations through the use of an universal logo/identifier. A simple, easy to display decal has been designed for distribution to locations throughout the province offering public access to Wi-Fi service. Decals can be easily adhered to establishment’s windows, doors or signage.
For more information please contact WiFi-Identifier@gov.nl.ca.
Decals are available to all providers of public Wi-Fi who wish to display the Wi-Fi identifier to inform travellers that public Wi-Fi service is available at their location.
